Mozilla Stumbler
A Pokémon GO style game to help expand Mozilla’s geolocation services.
Sync turned off
Tap, “Turn On Stumbler” to start syncing and play the game.
Clusters and rainbows
Stars cluster where people haven’t ‘stumbled’. Rainbows appear at the far edge of a cluster and are worth 50 points. You need to walk further to collect them.
Collecting tokens
Collect items by walking around the map. When picked up, they grow, chime, and disappear from the map.
Objects Along The Path
For your current session, your path traces across the map. Your point total is displayed at the bottom of the view.
Gold coin bonus
If you collect two rainbows in a day, you are rewarded with a bonus of 100 points. This incentivizes more ‘stumbling’.
Your stats and rank
On the Leaderboard tab, you can see totals for the number of stars, rainbows, and gold coins you’ve collected on the map. Your rank appears above the Leaderboard.
Top 10 on the Leaderboard
For your current session, your path traces across the map. Your point total is displayed at the bottom of the view.
Filtering by date
There is a Android spinner above “Your Stats”. View your stats for “Last Week” or “All Time”.
Settings
In Settings, you can change your nickname, toggle “Upload only on WiFi” and “Persistent Scanning”, send feedback, disable Stumbler, and learn more.
